Our story

Gasrec was founded in 2003 and is the UK’s leading supplier of gas to the road transport sector.

As a pioneer in the supply of gas fuels, Gasrec has built nine refuelling stations across the UK to service gas-powered vehicles, including, in 2013, the first open-access facility at the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) logistics park, the largest LNG refuelling station in Europe.

Gasrec has developed customer relationships which enable the development of facilities in tandem with vehicle deployments. It is vital that infrastructure capacity is increased to meet growing demand working with operators and not in isolation. A strong management team is in place to best support development in a market which is growing sharply following the introduction of dedicated gas-powered vehicles in 2017/18.
