CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) or natural gas under pressure is a fuel made by compressing natural gas or biomethane to less than 1 percent of the volume it occupies at standard atmospheric pressure. CNG can be produced on site with a connection to the high pressure gas grid and can also be produced from on site compression of LNG in some cases.
CNG typically suits fleets operating lower mileage as range becomes less important. It is also beneficial in applications where there is insufficient room on the vehicle to install an LNG tank as compressed gas can be stored in tanks which are designed to suit the vehicle. This fuel type is also often better suited to lower power vehicles which run on dedicated gas.
Gasrec can supply compressed gas using each of its fuel blends.
